ENNAI KATHIRIKAI – (BRINJAL CURRY IN OIL)

ENNAI-KATHIRIKAI

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Small onion-15

 garlic-5 cloves

 tamarind-one small gooseberry sized

 coconut-1 tbsp

tomato-1 small

 curry leaves half hand full

jeera seeds-1/2 tsp

black pepper-1/2 tsp

sambhar podi1tsp

gramdhall-1tsp

salt to taste

gingelly oil-1 tbsp.    

METHOD:

Fry in 1/2 tsp oil all the ingredients and grind to fine paste.Again pour the oil add mustard seeds hing and turmeric powder add brinjal then the paste and make to masala consistency.If taken little liquidised it is as kulambhu.
