ITEMS REQUIRED:

Moong dal-1 cup

Tomato-2

Green chilly -2 or 3

Lemon-1/2

Cooking oil-1 spoon

Mustard-¼ spoon

Curry leaf-1 strip

METHOD:

  • Clean moong dal and keep it soaked in cooking water for 10 minutes to get better results.
  • Cut tomatoes and green chilies, add to dal.
  • Pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
  • Heat oil in kadai, add mustard and curry leaves, transfer to cooked stuff.
  • Cut and extract juice from lemon, add to dal, mix well and enjoy.

It is a healthy and tasty side dish for idly, dosa, etc.
