MOONG DAL LADDU

This sweet is also called “payatha mavu urundai”

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Moong dal            1 cup

Sugar                       1 ½ cups

Elachi powder    as required

Ghee                          as required for making all laddus

Cashew                    6

METHOD:

  • Dry fry moong dal very well till nice smell comes  and switch off just before turning golden.
  • Powder it well.
  • Powder sugar.
  • Mix above with elachi powder.
  • Heat little ghee, fry cashews to golden and add to mixture.
  • Heat remaining ghee, pour to mixture, mix well and make laddus.

Very healthy and tasty sweet is ready.

You can make this powder and store it so that laddus can be prepared anytime you wish.
