mullu murukku


Raw rice                               5 cups

Moong dal                          ¾ cup

Chana dal                           ¼ cup

Urad dal                               1 ½ spoons

Salt                                         as required

Hing                                       small pinch

Jeera                                     1 ½ spoons

Butter                                   very little

Cooking oil                        required for frying

Instrument (achu) to make


  • Dry fry rice and dals and powder well and sieve it.
  • Mix with salt, hing, jeera and butter adding water little by little , not too tight and not too loose .
  • Heat oil in kadai, press with the achu keeping the correct plate.
  • Turn side, take out once golden.
