simple kheer


Rice                                        ½ cup

Milk                                       1 cup

Sugar                                     ¾ cup

Elachi powder                    pinch

Saffron stand                     little

Mixed dry fruits               1 spoon

Ghee                                     1 spoon


Soak rice for half an hour.

Boil milk, wash and crush the rice with hand, drain the water and add to boiling milk.

Keep flame in medium.

When the mixture is ¾ cooked, add sugar and elachi powder.

Mix well and cook fully.

switch off once done.

Chop the dry fruits, roast in ghee and add to kheer.

Garnish with saffron strands.

If you want to avoid ghee, you can add chopped dry fruits directly without roasting in ghee.
