MYSORE BONDA with Maida

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Maida                                          1 cup

Besan(kadalai mavu)      3 tbsp

Green chilly                             4 or 5

Ginger                                         small piece

Coconut                                     big piece

Curry leaf or

Coriander leaf                       as you wish

Jeera                                           1 tbsp

Salt                                              as required

Curd or buttermilk             1 cup

Cooking oil                              as required for frying

METHOD:

  • Chop green chilies, ginger, coconut and coriander leaves finely.
  • Mix all items only in curd or buttermilk (no water) except oil as a fine dough suitable for making big balls.
  • You can prepare bondas instantly, no need to keep it for sometime.
  • Heat oil in kadai, make big balls of dough, (but I have not made that big) drop in oil, turn side and take out once golden.
