GARLIC ONION THOGAYAL

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Garlic cloves                                       10

Onion                                                       3

Urad dal                                                 2 tbsp

cooking oil                                           2 tbsp

Red chilly                                              4 or 5

Salt                                                           as required

Tamarind                                              tamarind seed size

METHOD:

  • Cut onions into big pieces. Peel off skin of garlic cloves.
  • Heat oil in kadai, fry urad dal and red chilies to golden colour. 
  • Add garlic cloves followed by onions, sauté well, keep it closed and allow to warm up.
  • Grind with salt and tamarind.(tamarind can be added directly while grinding if it is without impurities, else soak and extract juice and add while grinding, instead of water).
