NELLIKAI (GOOSEBERRY) THOGAYAL

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Nellikai                                 6

Coconut                               2 tbsp

Curry leaf                            half handful

Salt                                         as required

Hing                                        liberal pinch

Red chilly                            5

Urad dal                              2 tbsp

Chana dal                           2 tbsp

Cooking oil                        2 tbsp

METHOD:

  • Cut nellikai into pieces, after removing the seed.
  • Heat oil in kadai, add dals and red chilies, fry golden, add curry leaves, nellikai and coconut.
  • Sauté for 2 minutes and switch off.
  • Grind with other items, adding only required water.

Very tasty and healthy thogayal is ready.
