RAW MANGO THOGAYAL

raw mango thogayal

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Raw mango                        1-small

Coconut-scrapped          ¼ cup

Salt                                        as required

Cooking oil                         1 tbsp

Mustard                                little

Channa dal                         2 spoons

Urad dal                               2 spoons

Fenugreek/methi seed  ¼ spoon

Hing                                       ¼ spoon

Red chilly                             3

Green chilly                        2

METHOD:

  • Peel off skin of mango, scrap it and keep aside.

  • Heat oil, add mustard, channa dal, urad dal, methi seeds, hing, red chillies and green chillies.

  • Once done, add scrapped mango, coconut and salt.

  • Mix and sauté for a minute, switch off flame and close with lid.

  • Grind all items to a paste of your required consistency.
