Onion                    2

Tomato                 2

Green chilly        1 – big

Salt                         as required

Cooking oil          1 spoon

For tempering: (optional)

Cooking oil          1 spoon

Mustard                little

Curry leaf             2 or 3


  • Cut onions and tomatoes into rough pieces.
  • Heat  oil, add onion cuts.
  • When it is half done, add tomato cuts, followed by green chilly and mix well.
  • Once it is ¾ th done, add salt, mix well and switch off burner.
  • Once it is warm, transfer to mixie and make a fine chutney.
  • Do tempering-(optional).

Very very simple and tasty chutney, goes well with any main dish.
