SWEET PUMPKIN THOGAYAL

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Sweet pumpkin              1 piece (see pic)

Coconut                               ½ cup

Coriander leaves           handful

Salt                                        as required

Hing                                       liberal pinch

Red chilly                           5

Tamarind                           tamarind seed size

Urad dal                             2 tbsp

Chana dal                          2 tbsp

Cooking oil                       2 tbsp

METHOD:

  • Heat oil in kadai, add dals and red chillies & fry golden.
  • Add sweet pumpkin pieces, allow to cook well sprinkling water if required.
  • Add coconut and coriander leaves, sauté few times and switch off.
  • Grind with other items, adding only required water.
