LADY FINGER CURRY

LADYFINGER-CURRY

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Lady finger                          ½ kg

Sundrop oil                         4 spoons

Mustard, urad dal          for tempering

Chilly powder                    1 spoon

Salt                                          as required

Hing                                        as required

METHOD:

Clean lady finger, cut into small pieces.  Heat oil in pan, put mustard, urad dal, then add cut lady finger pieces, salt, chilly powder and hing, mix well, sprinkle water (don’t close).  Keep stirring every 2 minutes , sprinkling water as and when required, keeping flame low.  Repeat till it is fully done.

Other vegetables which can be prepared in the same method are:

Potato

Brinjal (sprinkle dilute tamarind water for this)

Kovakka (tindora)

Sweet potato

Carrot

sepenkizhangu(sprinkle dilute tamarind water for this)

Raw banana (sprinkle dilute tamarind water for this)

Bitter gourd (if cooked in oven for 6 minutes, it consumes less oil and gives good result)
