LADY’S FINGER PODITHUVAL

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Lady’s finger      ¼ kg

Salt                         as required

Cooking oil          2 tbsp

For tempering:

Mustard               little

Curry leaf            1 strip

For powder:

Chana dal            1 spoon

Urad dal               1 spoon

Dhania                  1 spoon

Red chilly             4

Coconut               2 to 3 tbsp

Hing                       liberal pinch

METHOD:

  • Wash and cut lady’s finger as you normally do.
  • Fry items mentioned under “for powder” in little oil , warm it and make a powder.
  • Heat kadai, add remaining oil, do tempering with said items, add lady’s finger cuts, salt and sauté well.
  • Reduce flame, sprinkle little water and keep it closed till fully cooked.
  • Open and add the powder, mix well and enjoy this delicious curry.
