ITEMS REQUIRED:

RAW RICE                              – 1 CUP

MOONG DAL                        -1/4 CUP

HING                                        -SMALL PINCH

PEPPER                                 -1/2 SPOON

JEERA                                     -1 SPOON

CASHEW                                -10

GHEE                                       -4 SPOONS

SALT                                         – AS REQUIRED

GINGER                                  – SMALL PIECE

GREEN CHILLY                  -1

CURRY LEAF                        – 1 STRIP

METHOD:

Soak moong dal in water half an hour before preparation in a small cooker.  Add rice to it and clean .  Add water more than normally you do for cooking rice taking into account moong dal also.  Cook it for 7 or 8 whistles according to the quality of your rice. 

Heat half of ghee in pan, add cashew, fry till golden , then other items , fry them ,transfer contents to cooker , add salt and mix . Add remaining ghee , mix well and serve.
