QUICK SAMBAR
ITEMS REQUIRED:
Moong dal-1/2 cup
Onion-2
Tomato-2
Green chilly-2
Sambar powder-1.5 spoons
curry leaf-1 strip
coriander leaf(chopped)-little
salt-as required
For tempering:(optional)
cooking oil-2 spoons
mustard-1/4 spoon
METHOD:
- Soak moong dal for 15 minutes, in a small pressure cooker.
- Chop onions, tomatoes and green chillies, add to soaked dal.
- Add sambar powder, curry leaves, coriander leaves and salt.
- Mix well and cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
- Season with mustard seeds(optional).
- Garnish with few coriander leaves.
