VENDAIKAI PARUPPU USILI

LADY FINGER PARUPPU USILI

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Lady’s finger                      300 gm

Toor dal                                1 small cup

Red chilli                              3

Salt                                         as required

Hing                                        liberal pinch

Cooking oil                         3 tbsp

Mustard                               ¼ spoon

Urad dal                               ¼ spoon

Curry leaf                            1 strip

METHOD:

  • Soak toor dal for an hour.
  • Drain water completely, grind coarse with red chilli, salt and hing.
  • Cook for 5 minutes in microwave (or idli plate).
  • Wash and cut lady’s finger into small round pieces.
  • Heat half of oil, transfer cut vegetable, add required salt and fry well.
  • Once done, heat remaining oil in another kadai,  add mustard, urad dal, curry leaves.
  • Break the cooked dal, add to kadai and sauté well till it is fully broken.
  • Now, add fried lady’s finger, mix well and serve.
