BREAD BAJJI

bread bajji

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Besan                                    1 cup

bread                                      10 to 12 pieces

Salt                                         as required

Chilli powder                    ¾ spoon

Turmeric powder           liberal pinch

Hing                                       small pinch

Ajwain/omam                  ¼ spoon

Ginger-cuts                        1spoon

Green chilly                       1 spoon

Garlic                                     1 spoon

Onion                                    1

Oil                                           required to fry bajjies.

METHOD:

  • Make a paste of ginger, chilly and garlic.  Chop the onion.
  • Mix with all other items and make a dough of idli batter consistency , adding water as required(without bread).
  • Cut bread piece diagonally, (will become 2 triangle pieces).
  • Dip in dough and fry in oil.
Very tasty and good looking bajjies are ready.  Serve with coriander chutney (posted already – 2 methods).
