PEERKANGAI (RIDGE GOURD) THOGAYAL

ITEMS REQUIRED:

Peerkangai                         2 (big)

Urad dal                               2 tbsp

Red chilly                             5

Hing                                         liberal pinch

Tamarind                             tamarind seed size

Salt                                         as required

Cooking oil                          2 tbsp

METHOD:

  • Cut peerkangai into big pieces, after peeling off the skin.
  • Heat oil in kadai, add urad dal and red chilies, fry golden.
  • Add peerkangai cuts.
  • Sauté for 2 minutes and switch off.
  • Grind with salt, tamarind and hing without adding water.
