DAL-SPINACH

ITEMS REQUIRED:

 Spinach                                             1 bunch

Split lentil(masoor dal)          ½ cup

Turmeric powder                         ½ spoon

Salt                                                       1 spoon

Onion                                                  2

Green chilly                                     3

Tomato                                              1 (big)

Ginger garlic paste                    ¼ spoon

Coriander powder                      1 spoon

Cooking oil                                      as required

METHOD:

  •  Add dal to a microwave bowl, also add 2 cups of water, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Cut spinach, wash it and transfer to the same bowl.
  • Microwave cook it about 20-23 mins. (can also be done in pressure cooker).
  • Fry onions, chilies in oil until onions become brownish.
  • Add little ginger and garlic paste.
  • Add 1 chopped tomato and coriander powder.
  • When cooked, add the cooked spinach + dal mix and boil it for 10 mins.
  • Add salt to taste. 

Yummy, good looking Dal-Spinach is ready.  Serve with rice.
